Fredrik Fogelberg

Fredrik Fogelberg is an Organisational Psychologist with 35 years’ experience in international leadership development

Since 2008, he has specialized in working with global virtual teams and their leaders. Fredrik is co-founder of Nomadic International Business Psychology (1995), a European firm specialized in live online learning; offering training programmes on global leadership and virtual teams, as well as executive coaching. 

Nomadic IBP’s work is grounded in social science, group dynamics and intercultural theory. Fredrik’s approach is goal focused and practical, combined with psychological depth. In addition, a wide portfolio of psychological assessments as well as cutting edge communication technology are part of his toolbox, to support clients in improving virtual teamwork. 

Fredrik uses six working languages (Dutch, English, French, German, Norwegian and Swedish) and another three for conversation (Finnish, Russian, Spanish). He has worked as a coach, trainer and guest lecturer with clients in 34 countries across 5 continents, including several universities and business schools.

He comes from a Swedish/Finnish background and has grown up in the Netherlands. He studied and worked in France, Bulgaria, Austria, and Norway. After studying in Amsterdam and Grenoble, he attained his M.A. in Psychology. Fredrik has done additional training in group dynamics and cross-cultural management. He is also a registered mediator and facilitator of systems constellations. Earlier in his career, he worked as a corporate trainer and training manager for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and headed up Learning & Development at Nike Europe.

He has spoken at SIETAR conferences in France, Italy, Estonia and Spain and conferences in the USA and the Netherlands on the Assessment Center Method. He has co-published a book on virtual facilitation (Live Connections) in 2015 and is a contributing author to Global Competence 50 Training Activities in International Business from HRD Press and has been published in the Netherlands on the dynamics of cross-cultural teams as well as virtual teams. He holds memberships in the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP), International Coaching Federation (ICF/PCC), the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR) and is a senior associate of the Center for Creative Leadership in Brussels (CCL).
